New publications, like the Mercedes-Benz to launch the Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class in 2016 to compete with the BMW X4 in the category of “coupe SUV”.
Where you say the Germans finally finished with crossovers and SUVs, emerges a new niche and 3-4 models that try to exploit. One such case is that of the GLC, one coupe-consolidated GLK, it will be that the BMW X4 to X3.
As the model in which it is based (the GLK), so the GLC, will be “built” on the same platform used and the new C-Class while under the hood, I found several 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder engines to be associated with a 9-speed automatic transmission to send traffic to all four wheels. Without it nothing sure yet, considered as a hybrid version and a purely rear-wheel drive.
The same reports suggest that the GLC will be positioned over the GLK tariff, so in the U.S., its value will start at 40,000 USD. The model will occur probably in the first quarter of 2016 with sales beginning at the end of that year.
