Volkswagen in Detroit Auto Show 2014 also presented the Volkswagen Passat BlueMotion Concept. It is painted in the Reef Blue metallic blue color and features a new grille and rear spoiler. Inside there are two-color dual, glossy black details and carbon touches.

Focused on ultimate fuel economy, the VW Passat BlueMotion concept shows us how finances can be non-hybrid cars.

Powertrain is 1.400 cc TSI petrol engine performance of 150 hp and 249 Nm of torque. It features direct fuel injection system Start / Stop system and Active Cylinder Management, which deactivates two cylinders of the car when they are not needed for example in low speeds. Also, the DSG gearbox is setting automatically disengaged from the engine when you let your foot off the accelerator, leaving the vehicle rolling without mechanical friction. Because of all the above, the VW announces the Passat BlueMotion concept of average consumption of 5,6 liters, number is apparently possible to get close.
