Audi announces massive 22 billion EUR investment, third-gen TT coming in 2014

Will have 60 models by 2020.

In late November, the VW Group announced that it will invest 84.2 billion EUR in the next five years to become the largest automaker in the world. Then, we had no information on how to share the money. Now the Audi announced in turn that 22 of those 84.2 billion to that.

This money will be used so that the Audi to increase its sales by 1.5 million vehicles (about) this year, to 2,000,000. One of the ways in which it aims to do, is to increase the range of from 49 to 60 models by 2020.

The Audi also announced that sales of the third generation Audi TT will start in 2014 and the entry-level crossover with designation Q1 its market launch in 2016. Finally, production at the company’s factory in Brazil, where it manufactured the A3 Sedan and Q3, will begin in 2015.
