Futuristic Honda FCEV concept unwrapped in Los Angeles Auto Show

Some days after the teaser released by the Honda officially unveiled the Honda FCEV Concept at Los Angeles Auto Show report .

The initial mean FCEV is Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle and the concept gives us an idea of ​​the car will be the second generation FCX ​​Clarity. The design is very futuristic while some details that stand out are the pronounced grille, roof and covered rear wheels.

The five-seater Honda FCEV is also the first vehicle in the world to have the entire fuel cell powertrain into the engine compartment. If it tells you something is wrong, because according to Honda this is the feature that will allow designers to create various spacious vehicles with fuel cells.

Cells themselves, Honda did not say a lot. Or, to put it better, would not reveal much. All it says is that they have “significant technological advances” and that while it is 33% smaller than those of the FCX Clarity, have a 60% higher power density. The manufacturer also revealed that these new cells will allow the driver travels over 482 km with each filling which will take approximately 3 minutes.
