Subaru Levorg Concept has us dreaming about a Legacy wagon

The production version will start on January 4, with sales commencing in the spring.

In Tokyo Motor Show the Subaru unveiled the Subaru Levorg Concept, a new concept which the company describes as a “sports tourer” with the production model coming to market in spring 2014 in Japan. The name LEVORG is the result of a combination of “Legacy” to “revolution” and “touring” and although not very sounds good, is if anything feature.

The concept is equipped with a turbocharged 1.6-liter boxer engine and besides, features and the new generation of Subaru’s Eyesight system with new security features and support steering wheel controls.

Has a length of 4.590 mm, width 1.780 mm, height 1.485 mm and 2.650 mm wheelbase, making it be placed between the Subaru Impreza and Legacy. The production version will be wearing the 1.600 cc turbo engine in the GT version performance 170 hp and 250 Nm of torque, and the 2.0-liter turbo engine in version GT-S yield 300 hp and 400 Nm torque.

The 1.600 cc engine mated with CVT Lineatronic box having average consumption of 5.9 litres/100 km, while the 2.0-liter engine works with the CVT Sports Lineatronic box, having average consumption of 7.6 litres/100 km Both engines have all-wheel drive as standard equipment.
