The Ford gives us an idea of how it will be and what technology will have a new addition to its range of SUV’s brand. The Ford Edge placed on top of the range above the small and middle Ford Ecosport Kuga.

When I say of course “new addition”, referring to Europe after the U.S. and a few more markets, the Ford Edge concept is as a model and with great success. The Edge Concept is an indication and a way to demonstrate the new technology from Ford that will make an appearance in company cars in the near future. Tells us the same as Ford, basic properties of Edge Concept is “sport appearance, skills, fuel economy and technology that assists the driver.”

Technologies such as Fully Assisted Parking Aid, which is a step above the Active Park Assist from Ford. The FAPA Allows customers to park their vehicle at the touch of a button or even remotely! The system can find a parking space while running through ultrasonic and conversely xeparkarontas the vehicle while the driver is waiting at the edge.

Apart from this, Ford launched a project aimed at improving systems to avoid obstacles. The system is still in the experimental stage, detects and warns the driver of impending obstacle in its path and if you do not react promptly takes control and brake while trying to avoid the obstacle to avoid collision.

Finally, mention it briefly because there are no more information, Ford has shed weight aerodynamic large SUV. Equips eg the Edge Concept with Active Grille Shutters, a form of active aerodynamics which helps to reduce aerodynamic drag and improve fuel economy. In essence it is the grille panels SUV that will open and close depending on the engine operating temperature and driving conditions.

Engineering will be offered at least one Ford EcoBoost engine. Either the 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder performance 240 hp with either the 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost 365 hp performance. It will also be available in a hybrid version that combines a 2.0-liter four-cylinder Atkinson engine and an electric motor.

According to Ford, sales of the new Ford Edge will begin in Europe until sometime in 2017.
