Daihatsu at the Tokyo Motor Show exhibition presents two prototypes Daihatsu Kopen. Initially, as you know, the oldest Japanese automaker changing the first letter of the model of C in K.
The first of the two concepts, shows us the RMZ version, the other the XMZ will be a freer time version. Both have the same external dimensions, and their length is 3.3395 mm, width 1475 mm and a height of only 1.275 mm. Mechanically equipped with a three-cylinder engine capacity of 660 cc, which is combined with a CVT gearbox with paddles on the steering wheel.
The idea of reviving our model had been given to Daihatsu from November 2011 when the report of Tokyo, presented the DR. A tiny roadster with the proportions of the Copen but very different styling. The DR was aggressive and ‘wild’, full corners, edges and straight lines when the Copen was “cute”, practically spherical.
In the same report, Honda presents this own proposal of a small roadster, the Honda S660 Concept.
