Peugeot recently unveiled the 2014 Peugeot 308 R concept at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show and now, we get a new report that this car is indicating it could be headed for production.
By Top Gear UK, Maxime Picat, Peugeot Managing Director said “The company will create specific high-line versions of our cars, for example the Peugeot 208 GTi and RCZ R.” He added, “There is room for a Peugeot 308 R that this will uses the same engine as the concept car at Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany.”
While the another report is not exactly a confirmation, Maxime Picat said he signed off on Peugeot Sport creating customer cars and hinted “the potential Peugeot 308 R will be use sport technologies and it’s will developed by Peugeot Sport.”
As a refresher for the new car, the 2014 Peugeot 308 R concept will comes with 1.6-liter THP engine 270 bhp (201 kW) & 330 Nm (243 lb-ft) of torque and it’s will connected to a 6-speed manual transmission and sent the power to the front wheels by a Torsen differential.
