2014 BMW i8 teased

BMW has released a teaser video clip for 2014 BMW i8, its highly anticipated production version of the BMW i8 supercar model.

On September 10th, next week, at Frankfurt Motor Show we’ll get to see BMW car’s new hybrid supercar it’s will named i8 & through this teaser we catch a glimpse at the second “i” model, following the reveal of the BMW i3 in late July. The 2014 i8 will be a fully-fledged supercar, will can run 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in less than 4.5 seconds and the electronically-limited 155 mph (250 km/h).

The hybrid supercar will use 1.5-liter, 3-cylinder TwinPower Turbo gasoline engine 231 HP (170 kW) & 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) this power sent to the rear wheels, front axle i8 will be driven by an electric motor and can produce 131 HP (96 kW) & 250 Nm (184 lb-ft),it’s combined output 362 HP (266 kW) & 570 Nm (420 lb-ft) of torque.

This car will weigh less than 3,285 lbs (1,490 kg) & is expected to do 94 mpg US (113 mpg UK or 2.5 liters / 100 km) with 59 g/km of CO2 emissions. The Germany car maker mentions that 2014 BMW i8 supercar will have an electric range of 22 miles (35 km) & will hit a zero-emission top speed of 75 mph (120 km/h).
