The new president of Seat, Jurgen Stackmann, in recent statements by the British Auto Express, confirmed that the company is preparing two crossovers. The first will be built on the MQB platform and will be unveiled in early 2014. It borrows several elements from the IBX concept and will be placed in the category of Volkswagen Tiguan and Nissan Qashqai.

The second is expected to begin in 2016 and will be the proposal of the Seat of Volkswagen Taigun.

Stackmann ended the interview clarifying that Seat has no plans to pull out the market a sports model, since such characteristics stated “The Seat is not a manufacturer of sports cars.”
