Entire range Panamera undergoes a facelift this year. Also, come two new models: the long wheelbase Porsche Panamera, named Executive, and the 2014 Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid E-plug-in. Both versions are presented today at the Shanghai Motor Show. And is that China is the second largest market after the United States, for Porsche.
The 2014 Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid is E-parallel hybrid. Develops 416 hp and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 5.5 seconds, with a top speed of 270 km/h. It authorized consumption of just 3.1 l/100 km, equivalent to CO2 emissions of 71 g/km. The autonomy of the Panamera S Hybrid E-circulating electricity alone is 36 kilometers, according to the NEDC cycle, and thus maximum speed is 135 km/h. The electricity is stored in a lithium ion battery with a capacity of 9.4 kWh energy.
The battery can be fully charged in just two hours if you plug in a classic car socket 240 V. Obviously, equips a power recovery system that will recharge the battery as system.
Porsche has not specified what time heat engine equips the hybrid Porsche Panamera, but it looks like it is still the 3.0-liter V6 as this engine with two turbos Porsche Panamara now encouraging the S and 4S V8 replacing the atmosphere. Incidentally, this engine delivers 20 horsepower and 20 Nm more than the V8 while 18% less consumption, according to the manufacturer.
Regarding Executive body, with a long wheelbase add 15 cm, is available in the Porsche Panamera 4S and Turbo, first in China (where the long wheelbase sedans enjoyed a success not seen in the West) and if demand is sufficient, will go on sale in other markets.
