Audi A3 e-Tron plug-in hybrid hatchback headed [Geneva Motor Show 2013]

Not long to see on the market a Audi A3 with hybrid technology. In Geneva Motor Show 2013 presented the Audi A3 e-Tron, still in conceptual phase but that in view of the images does not seem to be very distant marketing.

This model is equipped with a 1.4 liter engine and 150 hp in combination with other Electric delivers 102 hp. The total combined power reaches 204 hp and transmitted to the front wheels. The transmission is provided by the S-Tronic box with six speeds. Best of this variant is that recharges the lithium ion battery from any light socket. In the three-phase sockets needs 2.5 hours to complete a load.

The Audi A3 e-Tron can travel 50 miles in all-electric mode and even reach 130 km/h, while the performance “level” the gasoline engine provides. As for the average consumption is 1.5 L/100 approved, a figure lower than that of a PHEV Prius but somewhat higher than that of a Volt.
