In the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, the Audi A3 e-tron will not be the only new “electric” VAG group. Volkswagen presented the Volkswagen Golf 7 Hybrid plug-in version, which will be effective marketing in 2014. The 1.4 TFSI gasoline engine with 150 hp will be linked to an electric motor that will deliver 100 hp 347 Nm in combination. Volkswagen announces a 0-100 km / h in 7.6 seconds and a top speed of 220 km/h.
With the approval standards in fuel consumption and emissions, the Golf VII approved hybrid will consume less than 1.5 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of just 35 g / km. The Golf Hybrid can travel only with gasoline engine, a combination of electrical and thermal as well as only by the energy of the batteries. In this case, their autonomy would be 50 km at a maximum speed of 120 km/h.
MQB platform, which is based on the new Golf, allows subsequent host a modular structure to different types of propulsion that can be adapted the same space as the AWD, natural gas tank or battery pack in the case of this hybrid.
