As in previous e-tron at the moment this is a concept, not a final production model. But unlike the Audi A1 and Audi R8, the Audi A3 has all the earmarks of a car end up as we’ll see in showrooms.

Their mechanical electric hybrid consists of 1.4 TFSI gasoline specification of 150 horsepower, coupled to a motor 102 horse power. Together both and correcting the maximum delivery point each, the car features up to 204 horses through their front wheels only.

The system is capable of operation so that the Audi A3 e-tron is a pure electric car, a hybrid that combines both mechanical power, or a car with conventional combustion engine when the battery is discharged.

Turning to the figures, the tip is 222 km/h, 0-100 km/h in 7.6 seconds down, and most amazing of all, in the European test cycle is able to offer a consumption of only 1.5 liters on average ( passed through much of the cycle in pure electric mode, by low accelerations involved).

Of course, the size of the batteries (not shown) is not particularly small: offer up to 50 km range, with a maximum speed mode pure electric 130 per hour.

Moreover, this Audi A3 e-tron is a plug-in hybrid, so every morning we enjoy those first 50 miles without fuel expense before TFSI engine fires. We will see and we will play in Geneva Motor Show.
