Apparently Bentley reportedly received approval to proceed with the development and commercialization of an SUV would complete its range. The news yesterday was the German newspaper Handelsblatt quoted as the source of the board members of the group Volkswagen . The SUV will be a derivative of Bentley EXP 9F Falcon presented at the Geneva Motor Show 2012. It would cost more than 200,000 euros and be manufactured at Volkswagen plant in Slovakia and would be completed in the Bentley plant in Crewe, England.
Wolfgang Schreiber, CEO of Bentley, said in the past that the Detroit Auto Show would have a future SUV design matching Bentley’s current range and walk away from Bentley EXP 9F original. For now, the rear lights of the 9F EXP see in the new Continental Flying Spur, as has transcended the first teaser of the new car.
From a commercial reality, the SUV would not arrive for another three years. The intention is to sell about 5,000 units a year. Notably, Volkswagen has not confirmed the news Handelsblatt, but a spokesman for the group told Automotive News that it looks like “a positive decision”.
