In June 2012, the BMW and Toyota, signed an agreement of cooperation in various fields. The joint evolution of a hydrogen cell system up and developing technologies weight reduction of automobiles. Among them, there was a “joint development of the architecture of a future sport car” for which many have heard since. The two companies, however, have stated that the “negotiations” would be completed in late 2013 and they were right because today is the last day of the year and for the first time we learn something official!

We agreed on a common architecture for a sport car. What matters is that there will be two different vehicles will be faithfully [values] of each brand.

Said the head of development BMW, Herbert Diess. That’s all, nothing else. The Diess declined to comment further on the vehicles we will see in the not too distant future, but given that they had been six proposals on the table, it can be anything from the next Z4 up the replacement of LFA.
