Two years ago, the Kia at Frankfurt Motor Show had presented the Kia GT Concept whose production version will be unveiled sometime in 2015. The car will act as a “halo car” of Kia, and will be placed in four-door coupe category currently dominated by German companies.
Will be built on the rear-wheel drive platform K9, drive available except in sedan and coupe and wagon version. The move will help reduce production costs but simultaneously addressed to a much larger audience.
To prototype wore a turbo V6 3.3-liter engine performance 395 hp and 534 Nm of torque, which combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission sending drive to the rear wheels. The production model may however be equipped with a smaller engine or even a hybrid , which maintains its performance V6, but will have a better fuel.
