“Riding a speed limiter is not a major change to the design of the vehicle or its engine”. This conclusion has come to the Guinness Book of Records after a week of deliberations, after dispossessing the Bugatti Veyron SuperSport your brand of 430.98 km/h, hearing the body of the 30 units sold only five did so without a limiter installed that left him with a top speed of 415 km/h (not bad, huh?).
Anyway, I do not know who has called (VAG? Piech in person with that face of his few friends?), but the truth is that the withdrawal of the record was announced as “provisional” while reviewing data after an article published by the Sunday Times where he was a dent on the subject of French car limiter VAG group.
So yes, the Veyron is again officially the world’s fastest car. At least in the eyes of Guinness.
