The Ford loses no time in extending the range of the new 2015 Ford Mustang, whose sales will start late next year.
According to a document leaked to the internet, the Shelby versions of both the Coupe and the Convertible Mustang will be included in the initial model lineup. The document (with name 2015MY Ford Body Code Types) does not mention the brand name versions but will probably keep the-classic- Shelby GT350.
For the record, it should be recalled that according to earlier reports, the GT350 will have the 5-liter Coyote V8 under the bonnet. This will give over 420 horses GT but certainly fewer than 662 of the GT500.
Otherwise, interest is the fact that the document makes no mention of the turbocharged four-cylinder 2.3 liter but that is because probably intended for the European market. In USDM, V6 is the base engine.
