German media reported that Porsche is preparing to unveil a one-off concept of the attractive Porsche 911 to report the Beijing in April 2014.
According to reports, the vehicle will be called “Porsche 911 Safari” and is a tribute to the historic 911 SC Safari rally car of 1978 (pictured). Naturally, further information is not available but the 911 Safari could be based on the 911 Carrera 4S, with a slightly off-road tires, a raised suspension and guards on the floor and the rest of the body.
If the feedback from the world is positive, there is the case of the Porsche to prepare a production version (rather limited) for markets where drivers have to deal with bad roads, namely Russia, China, the Middle East and N. Africa. If he could get the green light, which we would love for historical and not just reasons, the production version may come to market in 2016.
