Mitsubishi President confirms plans for a plug-in hybrid Pajero, could be offered in US

Next-generation i-MiEV could be larger than its predecessor.

Osamu Masuko, president of Mitsubishi, speaking at the Automotive News revealed that the company has begun to recover, having put aims to rebuild the brand in the U.S., in an effort to sell 100,000 cars annually by 31 March 2017.

The strong man of Japanese automaker confirmed that the next generation Mitsubishi Pajero will have a plug-in hybrid version, which will be available in the U.S. market, while completed saying that the next generation of i-MiEV will be larger in dimensions. Finally ended the interview by referring to the company’s cooperation with the Nissan-Renault , stating that consider options to jointly build a new platform on which to build a car that will replace the Galant.
