The head of research and development of Mercedes-Benz, Prof. Dr. Thomas Weber, speaking to Reuters confirmed that the company will send the market a version of the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class long wheelbase exclusively for the Chinese market, since the Chinese nourish special liking to these cars.
It is manufactured in China, where it is sold, having a larger wheelbase of 2.840 mm which is the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class. The only larger but was something that Weber did not want to announce.
As we have previously reported, the 2014 Mercedes-Benz C-Class will be launched with 3-engines including:
- A 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel with 170 HP (125 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque
- A 1.6-liter four-cylinder petrol with 156 HP (115 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque
- A 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol with 184 HP (135 kW) and 300 Nm (221 lb-ft) of torque
