The minds of McLaren working this year on an alternative that makes the wipers to show something now obsolete. The system tests the McLaren uses sound ultrasonic / high frequency waves which are produced by a sensory warning device of 30 kHz. It is mounted inside the windshield and creates tiny vibrations when raindrops, insects or anything else that has fallen on it.

The ultrasonic windshield has long been used in fighter aircraft and do not think that the technology is currently expensive. The technique is relatively simple and costs less than 12 euros. The McLaren wants to place the system in the future of cars after 2015.
