The current Jaguar XK is the latest model that has the distinctive oval grille company. All future Jaguar will be in lieu of a trapezoidal grille that is more ‘strong’ design, one grille like those of F-Type and C-X17. So said the design director of Jaguar, Ian Callum.
The Callum also said that when planning the F-Type has tried to give the traditional oval grille, but decided not to do so the model represents a change in the brand.
Finally, the designer said that Jaguar should reconsider its position on the XK lineup of the company, meaning that the position has gotten essentially the F-Type. One solution would be to shift the XK more “upmarket” areas, as a larger and more luxurious Grand Touring car to leave the role of sport in fantastic model F-Type.
