Tobias Moers the AMG chief, recently admitted the new Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG could get a more extreme or more sport version in next year.
According to Moers the car has the potential for get more a higher output for power, but the tuning of 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG get a 360 HP (265 kW) 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbocharged engine. Although a AMG Black Series version won’t be out in the near future, Moers admitted a more car with hardcore variant of the hot 4-door coupe, it’s based on the Racing Series could be launched sometime in 2014.
He added, that the downsizing trend of the car could force AMG to modify the layout into a more conventional configuration (north-south) and for engine’s front-drive transverse (east-west) so that it could be installed on models, slotted above the Mercedes-Benz A-Class lineup which now have thirstier & bigger engines, and that 2014 will be “a very important year for the Mercedes-Benz AMG” but, he refused to shed some details or more information about upcoming car.
