Toyota has disclosed about full details for its Frankfurt Motor Show-bound 2013 Toyota Yaris Hybrid-R concept scheduled to get its public outing in September 10th next week.
The prototype is based on the 3-door Toyota Yaris, the Yaris Hybrid-R concept comes with a 4-cylinder 1.6-liter turbocharged engine 300 bhp (224 kW) & 420 Nm (310 lb-ft) the power is transfer to the front wheels, and for rear wheel is driven by a 60 bhp (45 kW) with electric motor. The two electric motors in this car is have a 120 bhp (89 Nm) available for up to 5 seconds when Track mode is activated. During this 5-second interval, the hybrid Yaris concept has a max power of 420 bhp (313 kW).
The 3rd 60 bhp electric motor installed in the between conventional power unit at this prototype hybrid & the 6-speed sequential gearbox, is works during deceleration to feed the super capacitor & also during acceleration to get a power the 2 rear electric motors. But only when the power & torque of the engine of the new Yaris Hybrid is exceed the grip potential of the front wheels of this car, the generator will act as a traction control system redirecting torque as electric energy to the rear axle.
This car has been fitted with 18-inch TRD alloys with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires measuring 225/40 R18 with stopping power coming from grooved & perforated discs that have 6-piston calipers at the front & 4-piston calipers for the rear it’s can be powerfull stoped for The Yaris Hybrid-R Concept.
For the interior, GT 86-sourced sport pedals, dual-tone Recaro bucket seats is get customs with a black leather side bolsters & blue Alcantara. The shift lever for this car has been positioned close to the driver with the right hand and the sport steering wheel is covered in Alcantara.
In steering wheel, by pressing a button installed for the driver can select Road mode which will reduce the output of the gasoline engine & this feature can manage the quantity of energy distributed for this car as a method to reduce fuel consumption & cut down CO2 emissions.
