Volvo has officially unveiled their Volvo Concept Coupe ahead of its debut on September next-month at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
The Concept coupe designed to signal the end of Volvo’s “vanilla days,” is a luxurious Gran Tourer that this car is previews the company’s new styling language.
This car has a sporty front fascia with T-shaped LED daytime running lights, that will become a hallmark of the brand and a ‘floating’ grille. And in back of Concept Coupe, we can see a stylish greenhouse, a contoured hood, & an elegant rear end that recalls the iconic P1800. Other features of this car is include 21-inch alloy wheels and get a panoramic glass roof.
Continues to the cabin, as the concept model is equipped with grey wood trim, premium leather upholstery, & gloss black accents, a large touchscreen infotainment system and head-up display.
For to power of the Concept Coupe, provided by a plug-in hybrid powertrain that consists of a 2.0-liter Drive-E petrol engine & an electric motor, that powers the rear axle, enables the model to produce 400 bhp (298 kW) & over 600 Nm (442 lb-ft) of torque.
According to Thomas Ingenlath, Volvo’s Senior Vice President of Design, “The Volvo Concept Coupé is no futuristic of a dream car. This car is designed to demonstrate the capability of our new architecture: the proportions, the confident stance, & the most prominent design signatures. Even though the all-new Volvo XC90 is an entirely different type of car, you will recognize the connection instantly when it is revealed next year.”
