One month ago and something you have updated to the new, cheaper Caterham 7 will be released sometime in September. We’d say that would cost around 15,000 pounds and that will have new engines without sacrificing drivability of sport Spartan 7 will also aim to improve fuel efficiency and standards of Euro 6.

This engine, which will replace the four-cylinder normally aspirated 1.6-liters of Ford, which delivers 125 horses, it seems it will be a tiny three-cylinder turbocharged 6-liters from Suzuki ! Yes, you read correctly, turbo, 660cc.

0.66 liters! Still no information on the validity of this engine but we know that the cars placed at this time, does not pay more than 63 horses. What to expect from this combination? The Graham Macdonald, CEO of Caterham Cars says:

It’s not the size of the engine that counts, is the smile of the driver is the barometer and we believe we have the recipe that the new entry-level vehicle is our right! We needed a very lightweight powertrain and should be a unit that fits on the intrinsic characteristics that have all 7. Fortunately, after a lot, hard work, we have a package that works fantastic! Our intention for this car is to offer the joy of 7 in pure form. So the new entry-level model are lighter, cheaper, more economical and more affordable than ever!
