Volkswagen today unveiled the new telematics and infotainment system prepared and will be offered in some model year 2014 models in America. Called Car-Net and is similar to the respective systems of Ford, Sync and MyFord Touch.

With infotainment systems Car-Net, the American Volkswagen will acquire additional features such as roadside assistance, which is available here for many years by other automakers as well as services and Stolen Vehicle Assistance Service Appointment Scheduling. Initially the system will be available in MY2014 Jetta, Passat, Tiguan, CC, Beetle, Beetle Convertible Eos and whose owners can connect with them either via internet or via an app on their smartphone.

The Car-Net has automatic accident notification, Agent Destination Assist which allows the user to send navigation instructions to the car via PC or mobile phone tracking system and remote parking lock system, which allows the driver to handle away from the door, the hood, trunk, sunroof and roof cabrio vehicles.

Guests who purchase a MY2014 model will be equipped with Car-Net will get gift a six-month subscription when it expires you can renew at a cost of $ 17.99 per month, $ 199 for one year, $ 378 for two years or $ 540 for three years.
