[Report] Hyundai rules out a Genesis sub-brand, sub-brand wasn’t cost effective

Hyundai ultimately will not make sub-brand in Hyundai Genesis, since according to Chris Chapman, chief designer at Hyundai America, the idea was quite costly for the company, which ultimately rejected it as inefficient.

The Chapman said that Hyundai will try to make more premium cars such as to place the next wheel drive Genesis. Finally he said that the company’s goal is to make cars more attractive in order to increase sales while needs a flagship car that will work for Hyundai, as does the Mustang for Ford.

The next generation of the Genesis Coupe, which will be presented either in late 2014 or early 2015, according to Chapman will move in this direction.
