After it became known that eventually the mule McLaren MP4-12C Facelif t is essentially mule McLaren P13, the entry-level supercar being prepared by McLaren, now it’s time to see new photographs.
The mule once her body MP4-12C Spider drive to share enough parts from older models of the company (MP4-12C, P1) such as carbon fiber monocoque chassis and turbo 3.8-liter V8 engine, which however will give close to 450-500 horsepower. The reason for these choices is simple since McLaren has already tested the strength of that chassis and thus save time and money by not having to develop a new chassis.
The McLaren P13 model will be passed to the production in 2015 and placed under the MP4-12C. The engine will be mated to a 7-speed automatic dual-clutch Graziano. 0-100 km/h will do it in less than 4 seconds with top speed of 322 km/h.
The McLaren P13 will come across cars category Audi R8 V10 and Porsche 911 Turbo and will cost close to € 120.000. McLaren’s goal is to sell 2.500 P13 annually.
