Increasingly approaching the time for the presentation but had not yet announced who will be presented. The Director General of the M Performance Automobiles BMW, Friedrich Nitschke, revealed that the M3 Sedan and M4 Coupe will see the spotlight in the report of Detroit in January 2014.

He declined to get into further details, but confirmed that the cars will have roof and portpagkaz carbon fiber bonnet and aluminum, while it is almost certain that carbon, aluminum and magnesium will be used in the impact zones.

Still, while the competition (Audi and Mercedes) have invested a lot of four-wheel drive models of fast versions of the car, the Nitschke said that such a move would spoil the steering feel and will add 80 pounds to the new M3, these cars will have excellent adhesion, due to the differential torque and a new management system of adhesion, which make all-wheel drive unnecessary.

Finally, Nitschke confirmed that he wants a replacement of the 1-Series M Coupe, but has not taken any decision so far, and admitted he drove the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG at the Nürburgring and found that it understeers and has a laggy engine.
