Fuji Heavy Industries (FHI) is the parent company of Subaru, and on July 15 celebrated its 60th birthday. The company started as well as BMW, as a manufacturer of airplanes, but eventually a few years later, in 1958, unveiled the Subaru 360, which is loved particularly in the country of the Rising Sun.

Later followed in 1000, the first vehicle Subaru car had the engine mounted on the front axle and was the first car with Subaru boxer engine. The Subaru Leone introduced in 1971 and wore the famous four-wheel drive of the Subaru, as a four-cylinder boxer engine.
