The coupe fast version of IS, not called IS-F, but RC F, since Lexus has registered the name for several months. The car will come across the fast German luxury cars (see M4 BMW, Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe and Audi RS5 ) and will borrow design elements from the LF-CC Concept we saw in the Paris exhibition in September 2012.
The F fast version features aggressive bumper design, large air intakes, the typical new grille company quad tailpipes and spoiler.
Mechanically IS-F Coupe will be equipped with V8 5,0-liter engine. The reason the Lexus took this decision is that the V8 engine could hardly meet the emission standards of Euro 6 and so the Japanese company is preparing a new engine for the F version of the all-new IS. It is not clear if the new engine will be naturally aspirated or turbo, but the first choice of Lexus is a naturally aspirated engine.
It has a length of close to 4.700 mm, width 1.845 mm and wheelbase of 2.730 mm. Design reflects the sporty image of the company, will be offered in coupe and cabrio version and will be built on the new rear-wheel drive platform of the company.
In related news, the Lexus in cooperation with deviantART created a contest where fans ask them to create an improved IS 350 F SPORT that this be presented at this year’s SEMA. The winner will be announced on August 16 and except that it will take $ 2000 cash as a gift, to be acquired for a time an IS, and a trip to Las Vegas with all expenses paid.
The second will get $ 1.500 gift and premium six-month subscription to deviantART, while the final 22 finalists will receive an laptop and three-month premium membership to deviantART.
