John Krafcik, Hyundai Motor America CEO, has revealed the company is considering a new crossover. Krafcik said “We lead the industry in sedans, we have a bunch of them, but if you look at our crossover line, we [only] have two nameplates, the Tucson and the Santa Fe.”

Hyundai may send the market a new entry-level crossover as said in his statement CEO of Krafcik. The model will be placed under the Tucson/ix35 but the strong man is not the Korean company said nothing more on the schedule.

As a result, John Krafcik said “it seems sort of obvious” that Hyundai will introduce a new crossover in the future. Krafcik declined to go into specifics but hinted it could slot below the Tucson because the compact crossover segment is booming.
