[Report] 2015 Volkswagen Phaeton could debut in Detroit, could cost more than $60,000

Volkswagen CEO Martin Winterkorn confirmed that the company will again make available the Phaeton in the U.S. market stating characteristics:

A company as big as Volkswagen, needs a halo project in this luxury category. We’ve seen what happens to companies that have no such project.

However, unsurprisingly was unwilling to give any other information about the car, which many believe will be based on the Audi A8. Approximate date of presentation of the major U.S. exhibition, held each January in Detroit, with costs ranging around $ 60,000 cheaper by about $ 15,000 from the A8.

Finally, as we read earlier, the Klaus Bischoff, head of global design Volkswagen has promised that the design of VW cars will change in the future and that their models will have greater design variation depending on the type of each vehicle and so SUVs, the saloon and hatchbacks models will have their own design features, with their flagship, affect the other cars.
