Nissan to test e-NV200 Electric Compact Van in Tokyo

The Nissan will conduct tests under real conditions, the electric light truck e-NV200, in cooperation with the courier company DHL in Japan. This test will be conducted with a view to initiating commercialization of e-NV200 in 2014 and in this context, Nissan will provide DHL, a model e-NV200, for about three weeks.

This prototype will be used to deliver items to companies and commercial establishments in the greater Tokyo area. In this way, given the opportunity both to Nissan and to DHL, to evaluate the capabilities of the vehicle, but also the usability, taking into account the economic and environmental performance. The information you collect will be used as a key ingredient for the future development of the vehicle.

The commercialization of 100% electric light truck e-NV200, scheduled for 2014. Being the second world electric vehicle Nissan, after the Nissan Leaf, the e-NV200 will be the world’s first 100% electric light truck, bulk production.
