Our days are more likely to see a V12 engine beside a tree or in the middle of a road after a serious accident of some supercar, rather than video on YouTube.

Luckily the Jay Leno decided to pull the V12 engine from the McLaren F1 ‘s, and our shows him a video. The engine weighs 266 pounds, comes from BMW, has a capacity of 6.1-liters and delivers 627 bhp (467 kW).

Jay Leno’s mechanics had to take off the V12 mill to replace the Vanos unit which was leaking. On this occasion, Leno thought it would be a good idea to record footage with the BMW engine. He describes the process as being “the scariest thing we have done here on Jay Leno’s Garage.”
