In March 2012, the Land Rover had presented the Range Evoque Cabrio / Convertible Concept, that may eventually crossed into production, since this decision will be taken by the big heads of the company within the next short while.
That said John Edwards, chief of Land Rover, during a meeting of his company, in the Asia-Pacific held in Melbourne. The Edwards expressed the view that the Evoque Cabrio is a model-opportunity for them, and is very close to deciding whether to go to production. Of course everything will depend on whether the model will make selling to cover the development costs, with the Land Rover have put their pencils down doing mathematics, to determine if the Evoque Cabrio would yield profits.
The rumors they want to be marketed in 2014 and will once and the 9-speed automatic transmission from ZF. To prototype based on the three-door Evoque features a soft retractable fabric roof while standing on wheels in size 21-inch.
The system has Roll Over Protection System (ROPS) which protects passengers in the event of rollover. Machines will be offered with the same petrol and diesel engines that equip the Evoque.
