On Friday the Bentley at Goodwood Festival of Speed will present the Bentley Continental GT3, the racing version of the Continental which can run in a race series of FIA, including the 24-hour endurance races.
The competition once the new 4.0 TFSI Audi engine , with the choice of engine is due to the lower weight and better performance compared with the W12 twin-turbo of Bentley. The engine is the same as wearing the S6, S7, S8, RS6 and RS7 and the Continental GT. How many horses on the racing attaches Continental does not announced by Bentley, but says it sends the traffic to the rear wheels via a six-speed sequential gearbox.
The Continental GT3 weighs 1,000 pounds less than you weigh the Continental production and has been developed in collaboration with M-Sport. It features a double wishbone suspension, four-way adjustable shock absorbers and racing brakes. Inside there roll cage approved by the FIA, carbon racing seats and racing steering wheel.
Along with Continental GT3, Goodwood in the Bentley will go to Continental GT Speed Coupe, the Continental GT Speed Convertible, the Flying Spur and Speed 8.
In related news, the Bentley announced its sales for the first half where it sold 4,279 cars (9%) compared with the same period of 2012.
