A Mazda spokesman told AOL Cars the company is not in a rush to launch a hybrid car in Europe. Peter Allibon, sales chief of Mazda UK, said the company is not focused in figuring out the market a hybrid or an electric motor, which argues that even the petrol and diesel engines can be further improved and made more economical.
The Allibon said that Mazda will slow to present a hybrid or electric engine in the near future since it believes that it can make the SKYACTIV engines even more efficient. Also, the Mazda does not follow the current trend of downsizing , as it will continue in the future to offer engines with large capacity, but because of SKYACTIV technologies, they will consume less fuel, while emitting less CO2.
