Sergio Marchionne took another step leading to the full acquisition of Chrysler by Fiat, after having purchased additional 3.3% stake in the American company. bringing the total percentage of shares of Chrysler, Fiat has in its portfolio to 68.49%.

The Fiat until July 2014 will try to hold 75% stake in Chrysler, while the remaining shares it owns the club healthcare for retirees VEBA. Both sides tried to come to an agreement, but this does not occur since the VEBA estimates cost shares to 10.3 billion dollars, while the Fiat to 4.2 billion dollars.

In early June there was the news that Fiat is looking way to borrow from various banks the amount of 10 billion dollars in order to buy the remaining share of Chrysler. Some of these banks are of course those who govern the world, such as Goldman Sachs Group Inc., Deutsche Bank AG, Bank of America Corp and BNP Paribas SA. The Italian Gruppo wants to convince him to give her the funds to buy the remaining 41.5% of shares owned by the United Auto Workers, union health care for retirees.

The ultimate purpose of the president of both companies, is none other than the creation of a strongest competitor of Volkswagen Group, the Toyota and General Motors. Rumor has it that Fiat has already received verbal consent from some banks, but without any signatures. If the agreement is finalized, the Fiat wants to refinance the debt of the two companies at a lower rate.
