These are the first photos of Opel Monza Concept which the Opel will officially present the exhibition in Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
The prototype was photographed together with the CEO of Opel Dr. Karl-Thomas Neumann, who said he is part of the DRIVE! 2022 showing the design of future models of the German company.
The Monza Concept demonstrates excellent performance through architecture, material use and its aerodynamics while in terms of connectivity, it offers innovative features with Opel report them as “a quantum leap in the development of systems for information and entertainment.”
The Monza Concept is a recognizable design language evolution of Opel. Expressing aesthetic objective to increase efficiency, the study reflects the evolution of the design philosophy Opel, ‘sculptural artistry meets German precision’, with body surfaces that exude a sense of a more agile athlete and less image of absolute muscle strength.
The emphasis on design is immediately evident in the character of the car. A lowered body with flowing lines, clean bonnet and the impressive headlights blend harmoniously, giving undeniable confidence. Sophisticated design identity Opel incorporated in the overall appearance: the familiar crease on the hood is more tactile and impressive, while the chrome bar grille with Opel logo has fins on rising edges. Two characteristic “blade” under the glare enhance the sportiness. Overall, Monza Concept has one gentle, athletic look designed to project an image.
It is a spiritual successor to Opel Monza, built from 1978 to 1986 with the prototype have digital instrument panel with advanced features which will go into production in the next models of Opel.

The Opel does not indicate whether the original crossed into production, but rumors they want to get the green light and comes on the market either in late 2014 or early 2015.
