As for the i3 with range-extended engine , will wear a small gasoline engine, derived from bike BMW. This is the 652 ml GS efficiency of 48 horses which will charge the battery in order to extend the autonomy of i3 to 300 km, with respect to the 160 miles of pure electric version.

The BMW is making significant efforts to attract customers who will buy the new BMW i3 and outside that will give the possibility to rent a conventional model of the BMW for a few days a year, but will install optional devices quick charge at home for future buyers.

England will start from £ 35.000 (€ 40.800) for pure electric version and from £ 38.000 (€ 44.300) for the range-extender version. The earliest traditions are expected to begin by the end of October, with the BMW has already received more than 100,000 applications to test drive the car.
