Citroen will not lead the market in direct replacement of C3. According to the France newspaper Les Echos, the group PSA Peugeot-Citroën will pull the market in 2014 a new small city car, which is part of a new strategy called “simple and human”. The move will allow models of Peugeot climb category, while those of Citroen to become more accessible.
To C3 will be replaced by a new, more basic model, which has been codenamed E-Cube. Will be presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show this coming September and will borrow elements from the C-Cactus concept (pictured). However, the production of the current C3 will continue for another three years, and will be sold alongside the new model.
