Last year we saw a photo of the Lexus LFA GTE, the racing version of Lexus LFA, which grows to participate in the WEC championship of 2012, but then lost track of.

Now we learn details of this race, which was eventually canceled. The idea of construction, belonged to Toyota Motorsport GmbH, which wanted to create a GTE and one LMP1 racing in 2013. The TS030 saw the light of day, but the GTE ever.

Toyota has decided to cancel his project Lexus LFA GTE because of logistics, since he did not want to run two parallel racing programs, especially last year when preparing for her return to Le Mans. However hunt and did some tests with this in May 2011 at the Valencia circuit and tested it for a few days in the wind tunnel.

Mechanically fitted with the V10 engine of the production version, output 475 hp and 560 Nm torque. This is combined with a 6-speed gearbox, with a top speed of 300 km/h.

The Toyota might not ever took it in production, but used data from it which helped to build the Gazoo Racing Lexus LFA , which won in the category in the 24-hour Nürburgring .
