Students of Brigham Young University in Utah of America have developed a prototype vehicle with fuel consumption of just 0.17 l/100 km!

In the project involved seven students engineering with the car is the most efficient of North America and participated in this year’s contest SAE Supermileage, where I had to run a distance of 16 km with only 20 grams of fuel.

Weighs only 44.9 kilograms, which makes at 9.9 g lighter than the earlier model. In addition to weight reduction, the students made the lawn mower to consume less fuel and increase the compression from 8:1 to 14:1, and now features electronic fuel injection. Finally, the final vehicle speed is 40.2 km/h!
