The president of Infiniti, Johan de Nysschen talking to Automotive News, said he wants the company to focus on mainstream cars in order to increase sales volume and not to give credence to specialized products. The de Nyssche confirmed that it will go on sale an electric model of Infiniti, but now have focused on increasing the volume of their sales.

The electric model of Infiniti was originally to go on sale in 2014 and will be based on original LE Concept presented last September in Paris.

The aim is to sell 500,000 Infiniti cars by 2017, with the new flagship coming in 2020. The model will be available in two different versions and is more like the Porsche Panamera than like the BMW 7-Series. On the same platform could be built and a 2+2 two-door coupe great car.
