Tesla Supercharger network to cover most of Canada & U.S. in a year

With its stock has exceeded $110, the Tesla announced it will extend the Supercharger network, the network stations free of charge of Model S , so that in a year from now, cover most of the USA and Canada.

By the end of June, the Tesla will triple the number of Supercharger stations, as new stations will be created to cover the route from Vancouver to Seattle and Portland, as the Austin to Dallas. There will also be four additional stations the East Coast of the USA and will be extended and new stations in California, Colorado and Illinois.

Within the next six months, the network will expand to Arizona, Ottawa and Montreal, while new stations will be in Texas, Florida and Midwest. In a year from now, the Tesla Supercharger hopes that the network will provide almost complete coverage of the entire population of the USA and Canada.

Indeed, the Tesla is developing a new quick charger that will recharge the batteries in the Model S in just 20 minutes.

Each station costs close to $150,000 and as easy to understand, this investment of Tesla is close to $20 to $30 million.
