Head of Product Planning Mercedes-Benz, Gerd Junginger revealed that the decision not to make the production of the AMG versions of the current Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe and Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabrio was a mistake.

The Junginger revealed that this decision was taken seven years ago when the AMG had a more focused strategy. Now, times have changed and Mercedes-Benz AMG offers a plethora of models, which between them could be the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG Coupe and Cabrio.

The Mercedes-Benz seems to have taken the lesson and so Junginger promised that the next time will not make the same mistake. Evil is to make mistakes, but it is good to recognize. So it is assumed that the next generation of Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe and Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabrio, which is expected to occur sometime in the next 2-3 years, will feature AMG version.
